Samsung Commercial Display Price Index 2026: cost per inch and per nit

Proprietary data · DisplayDetails Price Index

By Alex Taylor, Director of Marketing, DisplayDetails · Published · Updated · Refreshed quarterly (next: January 2027)

The Samsung Commercial Display Price Index tracks what a commercial-grade screen actually costs per diagonal inch and per nit of brightness, using the live list prices of every one of the 72 LCD displays sold on DisplayDetails. It exists so you can budget a rollout in minutes instead of collecting quotes for weeks.
$28median price per diagonal inch, all 72 displays
$1,468median display price
19commercial displays under $1,000
11–250$ per inch, cheapest to priciest (BE65T-H → OH75A)

What the index measures

Two ratios, computed from DisplayDetails list prices on the date above. Price per inch divides the list price by the diagonal size, so a 55-inch panel at $1,199 scores $22 per inch. Nits per $100 divides rated brightness by price, so the same panel at 500 nits scores 41.7 nits per $100. Together they show where a series sits on the value curve: bright window panels cost four to five times more per inch than a lobby display, but deliver more light per dollar than anything else on the list.

Prices include free insured freight in the lower 48 and the 3-year commercial warranty. Every display is in stock and ready to order; orders ship in 5–7 business days. Installation is available through our partner network and scheduled at quote stage. Samsung The Wall All-in-One (MicroLED) is excluded from the LCD ratios and listed separately below.

Samsung QMF 1 98″ 500 $193.83 2.6 $18,995 – $18,995

Reading the table: the Samsung QET and BE series are the cheapest screens per inch on the site, but at 250–300 nits they belong in offices, classrooms and back-of-house. The QMC series costs about 15% more per inch than QBC and buys 500 nits instead of 350, which is why it is our default for retail floors and lobbies.

Size index: what each screen size costs

Indoor panels only (up to 700 nits). The "cheapest" column is the lowest-priced commercial display at that size; the median is the midpoint of every indoor model at that size.

Brightness premium: what each extra tier of nits costs at 55 inches

Fifty-five inches is the most common commercial size, and Samsung sells it in every brightness class. This table shows the premium you pay over the 350-nit QB55C baseline.

55″ model Series Rated nits Duty Price × QB55C $/inch Nits per $100
LH55QETELGCXGO Crystal UHD 300 16/7 $729 0.71× $13 41.2

LH55OHAOSGBXGO OH outdoor 3,500 24/7 $5,499 5.34× $100 63.6
The three numbers buyers ask us for most. Going from a 500-nit QM55C ($1,199) to a 700-nit QH55C ($1,647) costs $448 and buys 200 more nits for a glass-fronted lobby. Going from the QM55C to a storefront-glass OM55B ($2,750) costs $1,551 and buys 3,000 nits. The double-sided OM55N-DS ($4,599) is the only way to light both sides of a window from one unit.

Digital signage pricing in 2026: what a complete screen costs

Buyers searching for digital signage pricing usually want one number per screen, so here is how the index translates into a budget. The display is 60–85% of the hardware cost; the rest is a mount, a media player and the installation.

Line item Typical 2026 cost per screen Notes
Commercial display, 43–55″ indoor $565 – $1,647 BE43D-H at the low end, 700-nit QH55C at the top; the 500-nit QM55C at $1,199 is the most common pick
Commercial display, 65–75″ indoor $734 – $4,067 Medians from the size index: $1,338 at 65″, $2,318 at 75″
Window or outdoor display, 46–75″ $2,750 – $18,750 3,000–4,000 nits; the OM55B at $2,750 is the entry point behind glass, the 75″ outdoor OH75A at $18,750 is the top of the range
Mount $40 – $300 Fixed, tilt or portrait wall mount; ceiling mounts and floor stands cost more
Media player $0 – $500 $0 when you run the built-in Tizen player that every Samsung model here includes; $200–$500 for an external player on multi-site networks
Installation Quoted Scheduled at quote stage through our partner network; one crew-hour to half a day per screen depending on the wall and cabling

If you want a single installed number, our sister brand CrownTV publishes an all-in ladder for a 500-nit 4K display with mount, media player, professional installation and the first year of software: $2,950 at 32″, $3,450 at 55″, $4,950 at 75″ and $9,950 at 98″, with software at $20 per screen per month after year one. See the CrownTV installed display packages. For the hardware alone, use the total cost of ownership calculator and the ROI calculator.

MicroLED, for reference

Samsung The Wall All-in-One 146″ is priced per unit, not per inch: $73,999 for the 2K (P1.6) version and $159,999 for the 4K (0.84 mm) version, both carrying a 150,000-hour LED lifetime (Samsung publishes no daily duty rating for them) and shipped as a single pre-assembled display. Per inch that is $507 and $1,096, which is why we keep it out of the LCD medians. Details and sizes: Samsung The Wall All-in-One.

Methodology

  • Source: DisplayDetails list prices as shown on each product page on the index date. No competitor prices are used or shown.
  • Brightness: the manufacturer's rated typical brightness (nits) for each model, as stored on the product page.
  • Price per inch: list price ÷ diagonal size in inches. Nits per $100: rated nits ÷ price × 100.
  • Indoor set: models rated 700 nits or less. Window, outdoor and MicroLED products are reported separately.
  • Cadence: recomputed every quarter with the SKU refresh (January, April, July, October). Prices change on the product pages the same day they change in the index.

Use the index with the sortable spec table (every model, size, nits, duty cycle and price), the brightness calculator and the 2026 buyer's shortlist.
