Refund policy

Thank you for shopping at DisplayDetails. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy outlines our policies regarding returns, refunds, exchanges, and the return-shipping responsibility of the customer.
1. Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- Unused and in the same condition that you received it
- In the original packaging with all original accessories, manuals, and documentation
- Returned within 30 days of the original delivery date
- Accompanied by a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by DisplayDetails
2. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Custom-configured or built-to-order displays
- Displays that have been installed, mounted, or modified
- Products with damaged, missing, or altered serial numbers
- Items returned without an RMA number
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
3. Restocking Fee
A restocking fee of 30% of the original purchase price applies to all eligible returns. This fee covers inspection, repackaging, warranty re-registration, and return-to-stock processing.
4. Return Shipping — Customer Pays
The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. This applies to every return regardless of reason — including buyer's remorse, ordered the wrong size, no longer needed, or any other change-of-mind reason. DisplayDetails does not provide return shipping labels for non-defective returns. The customer must arrange and prepay return shipping with their carrier of choice. The only exception is the damage-on-arrival process described in Section 7 below, which is handled via replacement rather than return.
We strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance for your return, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item. DisplayDetails is not liable for items lost, damaged, or delayed during return transit. The customer assumes all risk of loss for items in return transit until they are received and inspected at our warehouse.
5. How to Initiate a Return

Please include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for return. Our team will review your request and issue an RMA number with return instructions, typically within 1 business day. The RMA number must be visible on the return shipment carton; returns received without an RMA number will be refused.
6. Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, less the 30% restocking fee. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. Outbound shipping costs paid by DisplayDetails (free shipping on the original order) and any return shipping costs paid by the customer are not refundable.
7. Damaged or Defective Items (Damage on Arrival)
If your item arrives damaged or defective, notify us within 48 hours of delivery. Take photos of the damage (including the shipping carton) and email them to hello@displaydetails.com along with your order number. We handle damage-on-arrival cases by shipping a replacement unit at no additional cost rather than requiring you to ship the damaged item back. We will provide instructions for disposal of the damaged unit or, in some cases, arrange a freight pickup of the damaged unit at our cost. The customer never pays return shipping for damaged-on-arrival items.
Damage that is reported more than 48 hours after delivery, or that is discovered after the unit has been mounted/installed, is treated as a manufacturer warranty claim through Samsung's or LG's commercial channel rather than as a damage-on-arrival case.
8. Exchanges
If you need to exchange a product for a different size, model, or configuration, contact us at hello@displaydetails.com. We will work with you to issue an RMA for the original purchase and place a new order for the desired item. Standard restocking fee and customer-paid return shipping apply to the original item.
9. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled without penalty if the cancellation request is received before the item ships from our warehouse. Once an order has shipped, the standard return process applies (customer pays return shipping; 30% restocking fee).
10. Manufacturer Warranty
All products sold by DisplayDetails are covered by the manufacturer's standard commercial warranty (typically 3 years parts and labor through the manufacturer's commercial channel). DisplayDetails does not provide any additional warranty beyond the manufacturer's warranty unless specified in writing at the time of purchase. Warranty claims for defects discovered after the 30-day return window should be filed directly with the manufacturer; our team can assist by providing your warranty registration on request.
11. Purchase Orders & Tax-Exempt Sales
Returns and refunds for orders placed via purchase order or with tax-exempt status follow the same policy outlined above, including customer-paid return shipping. Refunds are issued by check or ACH back to the original purchasing entity, less restocking fees. Tax-exempt customers must provide updated documentation if requesting refund of taxes paid.
12. Changes to This Policy
DisplayDetails reserves the right to modify this Return & Refund Policy at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to our website. The version of the policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that order.
