Samsung OMB Series — In-Window High-Brightness Commercial Displays

The Samsung OMB Series is the high-brightness in-window signage standard for retail storefronts, bank branches, real estate offices, and any glass-fronted commercial space where displays have to push through reflective glass and direct ambient sun. IP5X dust-protected, engineered for the heat behind storefront glass, with 24/7 commercial duty cycle and Samsung's commercial warranty.

Why the Samsung OM/OMB Series

3,500–4,000 Nit Brightness

Engineered to push through reflective storefront glass and direct ambient sun. Readable from sidewalk and parking-lot viewing distances.

IP5X Dust-Protected

Sealed against dust ingress for in-window deployments where ventilation and HVAC airflow can carry particulates.

Heat-Resistant Behind Glass

Engineered for the elevated operating temperatures storefront glass creates by 11am — consumer-grade and even some commercial displays can't survive these conditions.

Slim In-Window Aesthetic

Thin cabinet integrates into storefront window installs without bulk — branding stays the focal point, not the hardware.

Auto Brightness Sensor

Automatic adjustment between full daylight and night-time levels — content stays readable around the clock.

24/7 Commercial Duty Cycle

Always-on capable for storefront windows that run from open through close — and overnight branding loops.

Samsung VXT Remote Management

Cloud CMS with brightness automation, content scheduling, and uptime monitoring.

Samsung Commercial Warranty

Covered for in-window installs that meet Samsung's ambient-temp and ventilation specs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between OM and OMB?

OMB is Samsung's current-generation in-window high-brightness line. The original OM Series naming is still used informally; the SKUs you'll order are LH46OMBEBGBXZA (OM46B) and LH55OMBEBGBXZA (OM55B). DisplayDetails carries OMB as our in-window recommendation.

Is the OMB suitable for full outdoor use?

No. The OMB Series is engineered for in-window installs (storefront glass) — it's brighter and more heat-tolerant than indoor signage but does not have the IP56 weatherproof cabinet of the OH Series. For drive-thrus, gas stations, and unsheltered installs, use the OH46B or OH55A-S.

Why does the OM46B have higher nits than the OM55B?

The OM46B is rated at 4,000 nits and the OM55B at 3,500 nits — both are well above what a consumer or standard commercial display can deliver, and both are engineered for the same in-window use case. We recommend the OM46B for the harshest direct-sun southern exposures and the OM55B for larger window installs in moderate sun. We size brightness at quote stage based on storefront aspect.

Will the OMB heat damage the storefront glass?

No. The OMB is engineered with internal ventilation that handles its own heat without transferring excessive thermal load to the glass. Storefront glass installs require following Samsung's clearance specs (typically 30-50mm gap from glass) — we spec the right install at quote stage.

How does Samsung VXT remote management work?

VXT is Samsung's cloud CMS — schedule content, automate brightness and power (very useful for in-window where ambient changes throughout the day), monitor uptime, and update the entire fleet from a browser.

Is shipping included?

Yes. Free shipping on every order. In-stock OMB units ship within 2 business days. Samsung backorders typically 2 to 4 weeks.

Do you accept purchase orders?

Yes. POs accepted from qualified businesses, government, education, and non-profit accounts. Tax-exempt sales OK with valid documentation.

How does the warranty work for in-window installs?

Samsung commercial warranty (parts and labor). In-window installs are covered as long as the install meets Samsung's ambient-temperature and ventilation specs. DisplayDetails handles warranty registration at fulfillment.

Sizing an in-window display?

In-window installs need the right brightness for your aspect, mount-clearance for thermal management, and the right cable management for a clean look. We handle all three at quote stage.
