Step-by-Step Instructions
Select a wall location considering viewing distance (1.5x to 2.5x the screen diagonal), ambient lighting, and power outlet proximity. The center of the display should be at eye level for your audience — typically 48-54 inches from the floor for standing viewers, 42 inches for seated.
Use a stud finder to locate at least two wall studs. Mark their centers with a pencil. Commercial displays weigh 30-80 lbs depending on size, so mounting into studs is mandatory — drywall anchors alone will not support the weight safely.
Hold the wall mount bracket against the wall, aligning it with your stud marks. Use a level to ensure the bracket is perfectly horizontal. Mark all screw hole positions with a pencil.
Drill pilot holes at each marked position using a drill bit slightly smaller than your lag bolts. For wood studs, drill approximately 2.5 inches deep. For metal studs, use self-tapping metal screws.
Secure the wall mount plate to the wall using the provided lag bolts. Tighten firmly with a socket wrench but do not overtighten. Verify with a level one final time.
Lay the display face-down on a soft, clean surface. Attach the display-side mounting brackets to the VESA mounting holes on the back of the display using the provided bolts. Most Samsung and LG commercial displays use VESA 200x200 or 400x400 patterns.
Before hanging the display, run your HDMI and power cables through the wall using a cable raceway or in-wall cable plate kit. Use CL2-rated HDMI cables for in-wall runs. Leave enough cable slack at the display end for easy connection.
With a helper, carefully lift the display and hook the display brackets onto the wall plate. Most commercial mounts use a hook-and-lock mechanism. Ensure the display clicks securely into place.
Connect the HDMI cable, ethernet cable (if using wired network), and power cable. Power on the display and access the on-screen menu to configure brightness, orientation (landscape/portrait), and network settings.
Adjust tilt angle if your mount allows it. Set brightness appropriate for the ambient lighting — typically 60-80% for indoor spaces. Configure auto-on scheduling if your display supports it. Run your CMS software to verify content displays correctly.
