Picture Quality
After screen size and resolution, the next important feature of a display is its Color Reproduction, which is defined by its color gamut specification.
The TCL 75935 comes with a DCI P3 coverage of 97%. This is equivalent to 132.27% sRGB coverage. The color accuracy on this TV will be Lifelike!
What Color Gamut means ?
Color gamut spec of a TV indicates the range of colors that the display can show.
What this means is, this specification indicates the ability of a display to produce accurate colors. A TV with low color gamut coverage will miss out on some colors (such as deep red), the result would be a "washed out" picture quality.
Different manufacturers use different measurement standards to define color gamut. Such as — sRGB (standard RGB), NTSC, DCI P3 to name a few.
For example, the color gamut of this TV is specified in DCI P3.
But don't worry, below is a chart that will help you choosing a TV with good color accuracy.
Now, after color gamut, you should look at the static contrast specification as it impacts the picture quality substantially.
Understanding the static contrast ratio of a TV
A TV with high enough static contrast ratio will produce natural deep blacks while a TV with low contrast ratio (<1000:1) will produce images that may look muddy as shown in below image.

As you can see, this will rob your experience considerably.
Think of static contrast as another dimension to details — just like resolution. To put it into perspective, a TV with low contrast ratio will produce less shades of colors, so lesser detail overall.
If given a choice, always prefer a FHD TV with high contrast ratio over a 4K TV with low contrast ratio.
This TV comes with a static contrast ratio of 8000:1., well enough to produce deep blacks and eye-catching visuals. For the record, it also comes with local dimming which is a plus.
HDR is also supported on this TV in form of HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and PQ10.
Coming to brightness, it is can achieve a peak brightness of 2000 nits. The backlight used on the panel is Mini LED OD5. This amount of brightness is good enough even for a well-lit room!
Gaming Performance
Now if you are planning to use the TV other than watching videos — say as a PC monitor or for gaming purposes, you would want to take a TV that features the lowest input lag. For gaming however, both the input lag and response time impacts the performance.
Unfortunately, we cannot find the input lag specification for this unit. Now, since this is not a cheap TV, we can expect an input lag of less than 20ms.
What is Input Lag and Why it matters ?
This lag is the amount of time at which your inputs changes the content of the TV. For casual Non-FPS games, input lag doesn't matter much.
For best of both worlds, look for a TV that has an input lag and response time of less than 20ms.
Ergonomics and Dimensions
Now, coming to ergonomics — VESA mount is supported on this TV with an interface size of 400 x 400 mm. Swivel, Tilt or Pivot features are not supported on this unit.
Vertically, the TV measures 75 inches and horizontally 65.87 inches.
It is 2.28 inches thick.
It weighs 42.7 Kgs and 1.2 kgs extra including stand. So plan your space accordingly.
