Launched in the year 2022, the 65C635 is a 65" 4K TV from TCL. It features a 10-bit VA panel.
The max. resolution it can achieve is 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz with a pixel density of 68 ppi.
Picture Quality
After screen size and resolution, the next important spec of a display that impacts picture quality is its Color Gamut.
This TV doesn't provide a color gamut specification, but don't worry, we have other means to guess that. Now, since the TV features a big 65 inch screen, it won't come with a cheap panel, so here we can assume its equivalent sRGB coverage to be 90-100% or above. Undoubtedly The color accuracy on this TV will be Lifelike! Meaning it will produce color accurate images out of the box.
Understanding Color Gamut
Color gamut spec of a display is the measurement of the range of colors that it can produce.
Meaning, this specification determines the ability of a TV to produce accurate colors. A display with low color gamut coverage will miss out on some colors (such as deep red), thus producing a "washed out" picture.
It is specified in different units - sRGB,sRGB (standard RGB), NTSC 1953, DCI P3 Adobe RGB, rec.2020.
But you don't need to worry about that, here is a chart that you can use to choose a TV with good color accuracy.
After color gamut, the static contrast specification of a TV holds almost equal role in picture quality.
The importance of static contrast ratio
There are 2 types of contrast specifications for a TV. Static and Dynamic. We are interested in static contrast ratio as dynamic doesn't matter much.
Static contrast specification tells the intensity of black levels. That is, a TV with static contrast ratio < 1000:1 may produce black images something like this:

Note that, such TVs are also prone backlight bleeds that will rob your experience — as shown below.

Note that, static contrast ratio and resolution go hand in hand when it comes to details. To put it into perspective, a TV with low contrast ratio will produce less shades of colors, so lesser detail overall.
This TV comes with a static contrast ratio of 6000 : 1., good enough to achieve deep blacks. For the record, it also comes with local dimming backlight which is a plus.
HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) are also supported on this TV, so that's a plus.
As for brightness, it is can achieve a peak brightness of 250 nits. The backlight used on the panel is Direct LED.
Gaming Performance
Now if you are going to use a TV other than watching videos — like as a PC monitor or Gaming, you would want to get a TV with lowest input lag. For gaming however, both the input lag and response time impacts the performance.
Sadly, we cannot find the input lag specification for this unit. Now, since this is not a cheap TV from TCL, input lag on this TV could be 20ms or below.
Understanding Input lag and response time
This lag is the latency at which key-presses or mouse movements changes the content of the TV. Though, this won't matter much if you aren't into competitive/FPS games like call of duty.
For best of both worlds, get a TV that features an input lag and response time of less than 20ms.
Ergonomics and Dimensions
Coming to ergonomics — VESA mount is supported on this TV with an interface size of 300 x 300 mm. The unit doesn't come with Swivel, Tilt or Pivot support.
The TV measures 65 inches vertically and 56.97 inches horizontally.
It is just 3.15 inches thick. Overall the TV weighs approximately 19.3 kilograms including its stand. Without stand, it weighs 18.2 kgs.
Hardware and Audio
The core of TCL 65C635 is powered by 1.3 Ghz 4-Core (ARM Cortex-A55) CPU and its graphics engine is handled by a 0.8 Ghz Dual Core (ARM Mali-G31) GPU.. There is no data about the available RAM on the TV's specsheet.
For display connectivity, TCL has provided two HDMI 2.0 ports, one AV Composite In 3.5 mm jack port and one HDMI 2.1 (4:2:2) port on this TV.
For connecting USB devices, it includes 1x USB 2.0 and 1x USB 3.0. Other connectivity ports include — 1x CI+ 1.4, 1x Satellite In (F-type female), 1x Antenna (RF) (female) and 1x Ethernet RJ45.

Now, speaking of speakers, it is packaged with 2 x 10W built-in speakers.
Speaking of power consumption, it consumes 114.24 Watts on average and 0.69 Watts on standby.
