Launched in the year 2022, the KD-65X80K NA is a 65" 4K TV from Sony. It comes with a 10-bit IPS panel.
It can display a max resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz with a pixel density of 68 ppi.
Picture Quality
Now, the very next feature of a display that will impact your viewing experience is Color Gamut.
Sony has not provided a color gamut rating for this TV. But don't worry, we have other means to guess that. Considering the TV features amassive 65 inch screen, it won't come with a cheap panel, so here we can assume its equivalent sRGB coverage to be 90-100% or above. The color accuracy on this TV will be Lifelike! Meaning it is capable of producing accurate colors.
Understanding the Color Gamut Specification
Color gamut spec of a display is the measurement of the range of colors that it can display.
A display with poor color reproduction will produce undersaturated/washed out colors that will not be pretty to look at.
It is specified in different units - sRGB(most popular), NTSC 1953, DCI P3 Adobe RGB, rec.2020. It is upto the manufacturer which one they choose.
But don't worry, below is a chart that will help you choosing a TV with good color accuracy.
After color gamut, the static contrast of a TV also impacts its picture quality.
Understanding the static contrast ratio
A TV with low static contrast ratio will not produce deep enough blacks and may bleed backlight as shown in the images below:

The static contrast ratio of above TV is 800:1. So make sure you get a TV with a static contrast of >= 1000:1. Ofcourse, More is better.
Also, static contrast ratio and resolution go hand in hand when it comes to details. To put it into perspective, a TV with low contrast ratio will produce less shades of colors, so lesser detail overall.
If given a choice, always prefer a FHD TV with high contrast ratio over a 4K TV with low contrast ratio.
This TV is rated with a static contrast ratio of 8000:1., enough to achieve deep blacks. For the record, it also comes with local dimming technology which is a plus.
Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) are also supported on this TV.
Coming to brightness, it can go as bright as 250 nits. The backlight of this TV is powered by Direct LED technology.
Gaming Performance
If you aren't into gaming, you can safely ignore these specifications. But if you are also going to use the TV for playing games or use it as a PC monitor, you would want to take a TV with the lowest input lag and response time.
Sadly, we cannot find the input lag specification for this unit. Now, since this is not a cheap TV, we can expect an input lag of less than 20ms.
What is Input lag ?
This lag is the latency at which your key-presses or mouse movements changes the content of the screen. Though, this won't matter much if you aren't into competitive/FPS games like call of duty.
For best of both worlds, get a TV that comes with an input lag and response time of less than 20ms.
Ergonomics and Dimensions
Coming to ergonomics — VESA mount is supported on this TV with an interface size of 300 x 300 mm. Swivel, Tilt or Pivot features are not supported on this unit.
Vertically, the TV measures 65 inches and horizontally 57.17 inches.
It is just 2.83 inches thick.
Overall it weighs around 22.7 kilograms (including stand). Without stand, it weighs 21.7 KGs.

The chipset of this TV is powered by a 1.8 Ghz 4-Core (ARM Cortex-A73) CPU along with a (ARM Mali-G52) GPU. The total installed RAM on the Sony KD-65X80K NA is 4 GB.
For display connectivity, Sony has provided four HDMI 2.0 (CEC) ports and one AV Composite In 3.5 mm jack port on this TV.
