Launched in the year 2022, the OLED55A2PUA is a 55" 4K TV from LG. It features a True 10-bit OLED panel. The maximum resolution it can display is 3840 x 2160 with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a pixel density of 80 ppi.
Picture Quality
Now, the very next specification of a display that defines picture quality is its Color Gamut.
This TV doesn't come with a color gamut specification, so we have to take a guess.
As the TV features an OLED panel, there is no need to worry about color accuracy. Because OLED panels are excellent at producing accurate colors.
What Color Gamut means ?
Color gamut spec of a display indicates the range of colors that it can produce.
Put Simply, it determines the ability of a display to produce accurate colors. A display with low color gamut coverage will miss out on some colors (such as deep red), so the image produced will look "washed out" in colors.
Different manufacturers use different measurement standards to specify color gamut. Such as — sRGB, NTSC 1953, DCI P3 etc.
But don't worry, below is a chart that you can use to choose a TV with good color accuracy.
Other than color accuracy, the static contrast of a TV also impacts its picture quality.
Why its important?
A TV with high enough static contrast ratio will produce deep blacks while a TV with low contrast ratio (<1000:1) will produce images that look muddy as shown below.

As you see, this will rob your experience considerably.
Also note, static contrast ratio and resolution go hand in hand when it comes to details. To put it into perspective, a TV with low contrast ratio will show both dark gray and black as black, so lesser detail overall.
If given a choice, I will prefer a FHD TV with high contrast ratio over a 4K TV with low contrast ratio.
This TV comes with a static contrast ratio of Infinity:1.. So no need to worry about this at all.
HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10 Pro are also supported on this TV, so that's a plus.
As for brightness, it can go as bright as 250 nits.
Gaming Performance
If you aren't interested in gaming, you can safely ignore these specs. But if you are also going to use the TV for gaming or use it as a PC monitor, you would want to get a TV that features the lowest input lag and response time.
The input lag on the LG OLED55A2PUA is 5 ms and its minimum response time is 1 ms. For a TV, its the best you can get for gaming.
Understanding Input lag and response time
This lag is the latency at which your key-presses/mouse movements changes the content of your TV. Though, this won't matter much if you aren't into competitive/FPS games like call of duty.
Although for better experience, get a TV that comes with an input lag and response time of < 20ms.
Ergonomics and Dimensions
Now, coming to ergonomics — If you plan to wall mount the TV, you can make use of the VESA mount provided with this TV, which by the way has an interface size of 300 x 200 mm. However, there is no Swivel, Tilt or Pivot feature support on this TV.
The TV measures 55 inches vertically and 48.35 inches horizontally. In terms of thickness, it is just 1.81 inches thick.
It weighs around 14.3 Kgs and an additional 0.2 kgs if you include stand. So plan your space accordingly.
