The OLED55A29LA is a 55 inch 4K TV from LG, launched in the year 2022. It features a True 10-bit OLED panel. It can display a max resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz with a pixel density of 80 ppi.
Picture Quality
After screen size and resolution, the next most important feature to look for in a display is its Color Reproduction (defined by its color gamut specification).
LG did not provide a color gamut specification for this TV. So we have to take a guess. considering it features an OLED panel, so we can conclude that the equivalent sRGB coverage of this TV would be far above 100%.
Understanding Color Gamut
Color gamut spec of a TV indicates the range of colors that the TV can produce.
A TV with poor color accuracy will produce undersaturated/washed out colors that will spoil your immersive experience.
Different manufacturers use different measurement standards to define color gamut. Such as — sRGB (most popular), NTSC 1953, DCI P3 etc.
But don't worry, here is a chart that you can use to choose a TV with good color accuracy.
Now, after color gamut, the static contrast of a TV also impacts its picture quality.
The importance of static contrast ratio
A TV with low static contrast ratio will not produce deep enough blacks and can bleed backlight as shown in the images below:

The static contrast ratio of above TV is 800:1. So make sure you get a TV with a static contrast of >= 1000:1. Ofcourse, More the better.
Also, a TV with high constrast ratio enables you to see more details. So, resolution and static contrast ratio go hand in hand in a sense.
This TV comes with a static contrast ratio of Infinity:1.. So no need to worry about this at all.
HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10 Pro are also supported on this TV, so that's a plus.
As for brightness, it can go as bright as 250 nits.
Gaming Performance
If you are planning to use a TV other than watching videos — say as a PC monitor or for gaming purposes, you would want to take a TV that features the lowest input lag. For gaming, both the input lag and response time affects the performance.
The input lag on the LG OLED55A29LA is 5 ms and its minimum response time is 1 ms. You will love this TV if you are a gamer.
What is Input Lag and Why it matters ?
This lag is the amount of time at which key-presses or mouse movements changes the content of your display. Though, this won't matter much if you aren't into competitive/FPS games like call of duty.
But ideally, get a TV that comes with an input lag and response time of less than 20ms.
Dimensions and Ergonomics
The vertical and horizontal measurements of this TV are 48.35 inches and 30.39 inches respectively. It is just 1.81 inches thick. In total it weighs 14.5 kilograms (including stand). Without stand, it weighs 14.3 kgs. So plan your space accordingly.
Now, coming to ergonomics — a VESA mount with interface size of 300 x 200 mm is provided for wall-mounting. The unit doesn't come with either Swivel, Tilt or Pivot support.
Hardware and Audio
The TV comes with a Quad Core CPU. However, LG didn't provide any specification on the total RAM on the TV's specsheet.
The UI on this TV is powered by webOS 22 Operating System.
For display connectivity, LG has provided three HDMI 2.0 ports and one S/PDIF port on this TV.
For connecting USB devices, you will have two USB 2.0 ports. Other connectivity ports include — 1x Satellite In (Main — F-type female), 1x Antenna (RF) (female), 1x CI+ 2.0 and 1x Ethernet RJ45.
