The 55UQ7590PUB is a 55 inch 4K TV from LG. It was launched in 2022. It features a True 8-bit IPS panel.
It can achieve a max resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz with a pixel density of 80 ppi.
Picture Quality
After screen size and resolution, the very next spec of a display that defines picture quality is its Color Gamut.
LG did not provide a color gamut specification for this TV. But don't worry, we have other means to guess that.
Now, since the TV features a big 55 inch screen, it won't come with a cheap panel, so here we can assume its equivalent sRGB coverage to be 90-100% or above. Undoubtedly The color quality on this TV will be Lifelike! It will produce color accurate images AS IT IS intended.
Understanding Color Gamut
Color gamut spec of a TV is a measure of the range of colors that the display can show.
In other words, it tells the ability of a TV to produce accurate colors. A TV with low color gamut coverage will miss out on some colors (such as deep red), so the image produced will look "washed out" in colors.
Different manufacturers use different units to define color gamut. Such as — sRGB, NTSC 1953, DCI P3 etc.
But don't worry, here is a chart that you can use to choose a TV with good color accuracy.
Other than color accuracy, the static contrast of a TV similarly impacts its picture quality.
What is Static Contrast ratio ?
Static contrast ratio of a TV corresponds to its Black levels. A TV with low static contrast ratio (<1000:1) will not produce deep blacks. Moreover, such displays often suffer from backlight bleeds such as this:

This will impact your viewing experience, especially in a dark room.
Static contrast ratio and resolution go hand in hand when it comes to details. To put it into perspective, a TV with low contrast ratio will show both dark gray and black as black, thus lesser detail overall.
If given a choice, I will prefer a FHD TV with high contrast ratio over a 4K TV with low contrast ratio.
However, we couldn't find a static contrast ratio specification for this TV. Once again we have to take a guess based on the TV's other specifications. In general, IPS panels come with a static contrast ratio between 700:1 - 1500:1. For a 4K TV, we can guess the ratio to be 1200:1 or above.
HDR10 Pro and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) are also supported on this TV, so that's a plus.
As for brightness, it is can produce a maximum luminance of 250 nits. The panel of this TV is powered by Direct LED backlight technology.
Gaming Performance
If you are not into gaming, you can safely ignore these specs. But if you are also planning to use the TV for playing games or use it as a PC monitor, you would want to take a TV with the lowest input lag and response time.
Unfortunately, LG did not specify the input lag on this unit. But as this is not a cheap TV, we can expect an input lag of less than 20ms.
What is Input lag ?
This lag is the latency at which key-presses or mouse movements changes the content of the screen. Though, this won't matter much if you aren't into competitive/FPS games like call of duty.
For best of both worlds, look for a TV that has an input lag and response time of less than 20ms.
Ergonomics and Dimensions
Now, coming to ergonomics — If you plan to wall mount the TV, you can make use of the VESA mount provided with this TV, which by the way has an interface size of 300 x 300 mm. Swivel, Tilt or Pivot features are not supported on this unit.
The TV measures 55 inches vertically and 48.6 inches horizontally.
Speaking of thickness, it is 2.3 inches thick. It weighs approximately 17.5 kilograms. So plan your space accordingly.
