Picture Quality
After screen size and resolution, the next important feature of a display that will impact your viewing experience is Color Gamut.
LG did not provide a color gamut specification for this TV. So we have to take a guess. Considering the TV features a 55 inch screen, it won't come with a cheap panel, so here we can assume its equivalent sRGB coverage to be 90-100% or above. Undoubtedly The color accuracy on this TV should be Lifelike! It is capable of producing color accurate images AS IT IS intended.
What is Color gamut ?
Color gamut specification of a display is the measurement of the range of colors that the TV can display.
A panel with poor color reproduction will produce washed out colors that will spoil your immersive experience.
Different manufacturers use different measurement standards to specify color gamut. Viz — sRGB, NTSC 1953, DCI P3 to name a few.
But you don't need to worry about that, below is a chart that will help you choosing a TV with good color accuracy.
After color gamut, next in the list that will impact your experience is Static Contrast.
What is Static Contrast ratio ?
A TV with high enough static contrast ratio will produce deep blacks while a TV with low contrast ratio (<1000:1) will produce images that will look dusty as shown in below image.

As you imagine, this will affect your experience considerably.
Static contrast ratio and resolution go hand in hand when it comes to details. To put it into perspective, a TV with low contrast ratio will produce less shades of colors, thus lesser detail overall.
This TV comes with a static contrast ratio of 8000:1., well enough to produce deep blacks. For the record, it also comes with local dimming which is a plus.
HDR is also supported on this TV in form of Dolby Vision, HDR10 Pro, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and Dolby Vision IQ.
As for brightness, the peak luminance the TV can achieve is 250 nits. The backlight of this TV is powered by Mini LED technology.
Gaming Performance
If you aren't interested in gaming, you can ignore these specifications. But if you are also planning to use the TV for playing games or use it as a PC monitor, make sure to take a TV with the lowest input lag and response time.
Unfortunately, we cannot find the input lag specification for this unit. But since this is not a cheap TV, input lag on this TV could be 20ms or below.
Understanding Input lag and response time
This lag is the amount of time at which key-presses or mouse movements changes the content of the TV. Though, this won't matter much if you aren't into competitive/FPS games like call of duty.
Although for better experience, look for a TV that has an input lag and response time of less than 20ms.
Dimensions and Ergonomics
The vertical and horizontal measurements of this TV are 48.54 inches and 30.75 inches respectively.
Coming to thickness, it is just 1.79 inches thick.
It weighs around 19.5 KGs and 1.6 kgs extra including stand. So plan your space accordingly.
Now, coming to ergonomics — a VESA mount with interface size of 300 x 300 mm is provided for wall-mounting. However, there is no Swivel, Tilt or Pivot feature support in this TV.
Hardware and Audio
The TV comes with a Quad Core CPU. However, LG didn't provide any info about the total available RAM on the TV's specsheet.
To power its UI, the TV runs webOS 22 Operating System.
For display connectivity, LG has provided two HDMI 2.0 ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports on this TV.
For connecting USB devices, it includes two USB 2.0 ports. Other connectivity ports include — 1x CI+ 1.4, 1x Antenna (RF) (female), 1x Satellite In (F-type female) and 1x Ethernet RJ45.
