The 43UQ81006LB is a 43 inch 4K TV from LG. It was launched in 2022. It comes with a True 8-bit IPS panel.
It can achieve a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz with a pixel density of 103 ppi.
Picture Quality
After screen size and resolution, the next important spec to look for in a display is its Color Reproduction Accuracy, which is defined by its color gamut specification.
This TV doesn't come with a color gamut specification, so we have to make an assumption based on its panel type. This unit comes with an IPS panel. Now, IPS panels are known to produce great colors by default. By this, we can assume that the sRGB coverage (equivalent) on this TV to be 70% or above. For content consumption and gaming, you will not need any better than this anyway. So its good enough.
Understanding the Color Gamut Specification
Color gamut spec of a TV is the measurement of the range of colors that the TV can show.
What this means is, it determines the ability of a display to produce accurate colors. A display with low gamut coverage will miss out on some colors (such as deep red), the result would be a "washed out" picture quality.
Different manufacturers use different measurement standards to define color gamut. Such as — sRGB (standard RGB), NTSC, DCI P3 etc.
But you don't need to worry about that, below is a chart that you can use to choose a TV with good color accuracy.
After color gamut, the static contrast of a TV also impacts its picture quality.
The importance of static contrast ratio
There are 2 types of contrast specifications for a TV. Static and Dynamic. We are interested in static contrast ratio as dynamic doesn't matter much.
This specification tells the intensity of black levels. That is, a TV with static contrast ratio < 1000:1 will produce black images something like this:

Moreover, such TVs are likely be prone to backlight bleeds that will impact your experience — as shown below.

Like resolution, the static contrast ratio is also equally responsible for details. To put it into perspective, a TV with low contrast ratio will show both dark gray and black as black, thus lesser detail overall.
If given a choice, always prefer a FHD TV with high contrast ratio over a 4K TV with low contrast ratio.
We couldn't find a static contrast ratio specification for this TV. So we have to make an assumption again based on the TV's other specifications. Most IPS panels come with a static contrast ratio between 700:1 - 1500:1. For a 4K TV, we can guess the ratio would be no less than 1200:1.
HDR10 Pro and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) are also supported on this TV.
As for brightness, it is can produce a peak luminance of 250 nits. The backlight of this TV is powered by Direct LED technology.
Gaming Performance
Now if you are going to use the TV other than watching videos — say as a PC monitor or for gaming purposes, you would want to take a TV with lowest input lag. For gaming however, both input lag and response time affects the performance.
Unfortunately, there is no specification for input lag on this TV. Now, as this is not a cheap TV from LG, input lag on this TV could be 20ms or below.
Understanding Input lag and response time
This lag is the amount of time at which your key-presses or mouse movements changes the content of your display. For casual Non-FPS games, input lag doesn't matter much.
But ideally, look for a TV that has an input lag and response time of less than 20ms.
Dimensions and Ergonomics
The TV measures 43 inches vertically and 38 inches horizontally. Speaking of thickness, it is 2.25 inches thick.
It weighs 8.9 kgs and 1.1 kgs extra if you include stand. So plan your space accordingly.
Now, speaking of ergonomics — a VESA mount with interface size of 200 x 200 mm is provided for wall-mounting. Swivel, Tilt or Pivot features are not supported on this unit.
Hardware and Audio
The internals of this TV is powered by a 4-Core CPU. There is no mention about the available RAM on the TV's specsheet.
The Operating System on this TV is webOS 22.
For display connectivity, there are three HDMI 2.0 ports on this TV.
To connect USB devices, you will have two USB 2.0 ports. Other connectivity ports include — 1x Satellite In (F-type female), 1x Antenna (RF) (female), 1x CI+ 2.0 and 1x Ethernet RJ45.
For wireless connections on this TV, you will have — a 5Ghz Wi-Fi, 2.5 Ghz Wi-Fi, Wifi-Direct, Bluetooth 5.0 and DLNA.
For audio, it is packaged with 2 x 10W built-in speakers.
In terms of power consumption, on average, this TV uses around 54 Watts. On standby, it uses 0.5 Watts.
For powering this unit, you'll require an 220 V - 240 V/50 Hz - 60 Hz outlet.
