The 58HK5601 is a 58 inch 4K TV from Hitachi. It was launched in 2021. It features a 10-bit IPS panel. It can achieve a max resolution of 3840 x 2160 with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and pixel density of 76 ppi.
Picture Quality
After screen size and resolution, the next most important spec of a display is its Color Reproduction Accuracy (defined by its color gamut specification).
Hitachi has not provided a color gamut specification for this TV. But don't worry, we have other means to guess that. Considering the TV features amassive 58 inch screen, it won't come with a cheap panel, so here we can assume its equivalent sRGB coverage to be 90-100% or above. The color accuracy on this TV should be Lifelike! Meaning it is capable of producing accurate colors out of the box.
Understanding Color Gamut
Color gamut specification of a TV is the measurement of the range of colors that it can produce.
Meaning, it determines the ability of a display to produce accurate colors. A panel with low color gamut coverage will miss out on some colors (such as deep red), the result would be a "washed out" picture quality.
Different manufacturers use different units to define color gamut. Viz — sRGB, NTSC 1953, DCI P3 to name a few.
But don't worry, here is a chart that will help you choosing a TV with good color accuracy.
Other than color accuracy, you should look at the static contrast specification as it influences the picture quality the same way.
What is Static Contrast ratio ?
A TV with low static contrast ratio will not produce deep blacks and can bleed backlight as in the below image:

The above TV's static contrast is rated 800:1. So make sure you get a TV with a static contrast of >= 1000:1. Ofcourse, More the better.
Static contrast ratio and resolution go hand in hand when it comes to details. To put it into perspective, a TV with low contrast ratio will show both dark gray and black as black, so lesser detail overall.
If given a choice, I will prefer a FHD TV with high contrast ratio over a 4K TV with low contrast ratio.
This TV comes with a static contrast ratio of 8000:1., enough to achieve deep blacks and eye-catching visuals. For the record, it also comes with local dimming feature which is a plus.
HDR is also supported on this TV in form of HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), HDR, HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
As for brightness, the peak brightness it can achieve is 250 nits. The backlight used on the panel is Direct LED.
Gaming Performance
If you are planning to use your TV only for content consumption, you can ignore these specs. But if you are also planning to use the TV for playing games or use it as a PC monitor, you should get a TV that features the lowest input lag and response time.
Unfortunately, we cannot find the input lag specification for this unit. But as this is not a cheap TV, we can expect an input lag of less than 20ms.
What is Input Lag and Why it matters ?
This lag is the latency at which your key-presses or mouse movements changes the content of your TV. Though, this won't matter much if you aren't into competitive/FPS games like call of duty.
For best of both worlds, look for a TV that features an input lag and response time of < 20ms.
Dimensions and Ergonomics
The TV measures 58 inches vertically and 51.65 inches horizontally. Overall it weighs around 15.5 kilograms including its stand. Without stand, it weighs 13.0 Kgs.
Now, coming to ergonomics — a VESA mount with interface size of 200 x 200 mm is provided for wall-mounting. Swivel, Tilt or Pivot features are not supported on this unit.
Hardware and Audio
The TV is powered by Quad Core CPU. There is no information on the total available RAM on the TV's official specsheet.
Speaking of OS, the Hitachi 58HK5601 runs Android 10 Operating System.
For display connectivity, there are two HDMI 2.0 (ARC; CEC) ports and one AV Composite In (Video + L/R) port on this TV.
