Picture Quality
Now, the next important specification of a display that will impact your viewing experience is Color Gamut.
Hitachi did not provide a color gamut rating for this TV. So we have to take a guess.
Considering the TV features amassive 55 inch screen, it won't come with a cheap panel, so here we can assume its equivalent sRGB coverage to be 90-100% or above. Undoubtedly The color quality on this TV will be Lifelike! It will produce color accurate images out of the box.
What Color Gamut means ?
Color gamut specification of a TV is a measure of the range of colors that the display can show.
Meaning, it tells the ability of a display to produce accurate colors. A display with low gamut coverage will miss out on some colors (such as deep red), thus producing a "washed out" picture.
It is specified in different units - sRGB,sRGB (standard RGB), NTSC, DCI P3 etc.
But you don't need to worry about that, below is a chart that will help you choosing a TV with good color accuracy.
Other than color accuracy, the static contrast of a TV similarly impacts its picture quality.
Understanding Static Contrast
There are two types of contrast specifications for a TV. Static and Dynamic. We are interested in static contrast ratio. Dynamic doesn't matter much.
This specification defines the intensity of black levels. That is, a TV with static contrast ratio less than 1000:1 will produce black images something like this:

Moreover, such TVs are likely be prone to backlight bleeds that will rob your experience — as shown below.

Also note, static contrast ratio and resolution go hand in hand when it comes to details. To put it into perspective, a TV with low contrast ratio will show both dark gray and black as black, thus lesser detail overall.
If given a choice, always prefer a FHD TV with high contrast ratio over a 4K TV with low contrast ratio.
This TV is rated with a static contrast ratio of 8000:1., well enough to achieve deep blacks. For the record, it also comes with local dimming feature which is a plus.
HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and Dolby Vision are also supported on this TV, so that's a plus.
Coming to brightness, it can go as bright as 350 nits. The backlight used on the panel is Direct LED.
Gaming Performance
Now if you are going to use the TV other than watching videos — say as a PC monitor or Gaming, you would want to get a TV that features the lowest input lag. For gaming however, both input lag and response time affects the performance.
Sadly, Hitachi did not specify the input lag on this unit. But since this is not a cheap TV, we can expect an input lag of less than 20ms.
Understanding Input lag and response time
This lag is the amount of time at which key-presses/mouse movements changes the content of your display. Though, this won't matter much if you aren't into competitive/FPS games like call of duty.
But ideally, look for a TV that comes with an input lag and response time of < 20ms.
Ergonomics and Dimensions
Coming to ergonomics — a VESA mount with interface size of 200 x 200 mm is provided for wall-mounting. However, there is no Swivel, Tilt or Pivot feature support in this TV.
Vertically, the TV measures 55 inches and horizontally 44 inches.
Coming to thickness, it is just 3.23 inches thick. Overall, it weighs around 17.5 Kgs. So plan your space accordingly.
