Picture Quality

After screen size and resolution, the very next feature of a Display that will impact your experience is its Color Gamut.

Speaking of which, this monitor features 114% sRGB color gamut coverage. The color quality on this monitor will be Lifelike! Thus, it will also be useful for professional photographers who are interested in photo editing or color grading business.

Understanding the Color Gamut Specification

Color gamut spec of a display is a measure of the range of colors that it can produce.

In other words, it indicates the ability of a display to produce accurate colors. A panel with low color gamut coverage will miss out on some colors (such as deep red), the result would be a "washed out" picture quality.

It is specified in different units - sRGB,sRGB (standard RGB), NTSC, DCI P3 Adobe RGB, rec.2020.

For example, the color gamut of this Monitor is specified in sRGB.

But don't worry, here is a chart that you can use to choose a Monitor with good color accuracy.

Color Gamut Chart

After color gamut, the static contrast of a display similarly impacts its picture quality.

What is Static Contrast ?

A display with high enough static contrast ratio will produce natural deep blacks while a display with low contrast ratio (<1000:1) will produce images that will look muddy as shown in the below image.

Example of a display with low contrast ratio

As you see, this will impact your experience considerably.

Static contrast ratio and resolution go hand in hand when it comes to details. To put it into perspective, a Display with low contrast ratio will show both dark gray and black as black, so lesser detail overall.

If given a choice, I will prefer a FHD Display with high contrast ratio over a 4K Display with low contrast ratio.

This Display is rated with a static contrast ratio of 1000 : 1 — good enough for a display in this range.

Coming to brightness, the peak luminance it can achieve is 300 nits. The panel of this Monitor is powered by W-LED backlight.

Gaming Performance

Now if you need a display primarily for gaming, make sure to take a Monitor with lowest input lag and response times.

Unfortunately, there is no specification for input lag on this Monitor.

Now, IPS panels in general are known for high input lags and response times. So, the input lag on this Display could be 20ms or above. Though, there's no concern for playability of casual or Non-FPS games on it.

What is Input Lag and Why it matters ?

This lag is the amount of time at which your key-presses or mouse movements changes the content of your Monitor. Though, this won't matter much if you aren't into competitive/FPS games like call of duty.

But ideally, look for a Display that features an input lag and response time of less than 20ms.

Ergonomics and Dimensions

Coming to ergonomics — If you plan to wall mount the Monitor, you can make use of 100 x 100 mm VESA mount (to be purchased separately). It also supports Tilt and Pivot, except there is no support for Swivel.

The Monitor extends upto 14.96 inches (adjustable +5.12") vertically and 24.17 inches horizontally.

It is just 2 inches thick. It weighs approximately 4.7 kilograms and 1.8 kgs extra if you include its stand. So plan your desk space accordingly.

For display connectivity, there are one HDMI 1.4 port and one DisplayPort 1.2 port on this monitor.

For connecting USB devices, the it includes 4x USB 3.2 (Type-A; downstream) and 1x USB 3.2 (Type-C; upstream; 65W; DP Alt Mode).

The monitor also comes with 2 x 3W built-in speakers.

In terms of power usage, it uses 46.56W on average and 0.5W on standby.

Both 110V and 220V outlets are supported on this unit.
